General Conditions & Information
1. SELF-DRIVE RATES
Minimum rental charge is one day (24 hours period). Hourly charge is based on one-sixth (1/6)
of the applicable daily rate to the maximum of six hours; thereafter, a full-day rate will be charged.
All rates are quoted in the local currency (RM) and subject to change without prior notice.
2. INSURANCE
The rental rates shown in this brochure include full indemnity for accidental damage to third party property and bodily injuries.
However, in line with commercial insurance practice, the Renter is always responsible for an amount equivalent to the excess clause as follows:
| Car Group |
Excess Clause |
| A-B |
RM 5,000.00 |
| C-H |
RM 10,000.00 |
| I-N |
RM 10,000.00 |
In Kong Teck Car Rental Sdn Bhd, we offer the Renter the option to waive the financial responsibility resulting from a damaged vehicle while it is under a rental agreement.
This can be done by accepting the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) at the time of taking delivery of the vehicle on payment of a nominal fee.
However, the Renter is liable for a Non-Waiverable Damage Excess as follows:
| Car Group |
Non-Waiverable Damage Excess |
| A-B |
RM 500.00 |
| C-H |
RM 1,000.00 |
| I-N |
RM 1,000.00 |
It is to be noted that using the vehicle in contravention of any of the terms and conditions in the Rental Agreement will
invalidate the CDW even though it is accepted by the Renter.
Renter is reminded that underbody and overhead damage is at the Renter's risk at all times,
and all insurance is void if vehicles are driven on unsealed and unmade roads or surfaces.
In addition to the above, CDW coverage will only be effected subject to the availability of a police report made within 24 hours.
Missing vehicle accessories are not protected under CDW.
All rentals are subject to the full terms and conditions set out in the Rental Agreement.
3. PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE (PAI)
The Renter may also purchase PAI for coverage of up to RM120,000.00 at a fee of RM7.00 per day for a vehicle.
The PAI covers permanent disability and death and includes medical expenses of RM1,000.00 per person per accident based on the maximum seating capacity of the vehicle.
Full terms and conditions apply.

6. EXTENSION OF RENTAL
Any extension of rental beyond the agreed return date and time must be arranged in advance with the required additional rental paid to ensure that the extension of
insurance cover can be arranged. Failure to do so may mean the Renter is driving the vehicle without CDW coverage.
